The adoption of the resolution “Sexual and gender-based violence: Joint action on prevention and response” (the Resolution) by the 32nd International Conference of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement (International Conference) in 2015 was an important step in the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement’s (the Movement) efforts to address sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) in armed conflict, disasters and other emergencies.
