he has worked as an inclusion specialist and programme manager in Plan International Finland supporting development and humanitarian programmes in a number of Asian and African countries.
She was the country director of the Finnish Refugee Council in Myanmar and the regional development manager of the Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Mission FELM in Nepal - where she also led coordination emergency response of the organization after the massive earthquake 2015.
She has vast experience in working in disability movement and with migrant communities - with focus on intersectional approach and cross-sectional coordination and with counter-trafficking in the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Cambodia.
Hannaleena is inspired by working together with diverse stakeholders, in particular with civil society actors representing communities in all their diversity. Hannaleena is a national of Finland and holds master’s degree in Social Sciences (World Politics). During her free time, Hannaleena enjoys reading, visual arts and yoga.
