This Rapid Assessment aimed to identify the protection needs of the child population in the intervention zones of the International Federation of the Red Cross within the framework of the appeals of the People's Movement in Colombia and Ecuador, with emphasis on the border regions, which will contribute to reinforcing the protection strategy of the operation.
This rapid assessment was mostly qualitative and used a mixed approach of focus group discussions, key informant interviews, participant observation in settlements such as bus terminals, shelters, water points and health posts and reviews of relevant documents (internal and external to the Red Cross Movement) and literature available of both countries.
