This case study highlights learning and actions by the Danish Red Cross to protect and assist Unaccompanied and Separated Children. This focuses on strengthening the recruitment, guidance, and networking opportunities for Temporary Guardians, as well as to create clarity and understanding among municipalities and others for the role and special authority that the Temporary Guardians have.

This case study provides learning from the Danish Red Cross based on their program providing guardians to Unaccompanied and Separated Children. In particular, it outlines work on recruiting guardians, training and guidance to guardians, and administrative procedures and reporting both internally and externally.

This case study describes a camp implemented by the Lesotho National Defence Force with, support from Lesotho Red Cross National Society. The camp aims to achieve rehabilitation for young people using or at risk of misusing illegal substances. The first camp was launched in 2021 and takes place twice a year during the winter (June and July) and summer (December) holidays, targeting in- and out-of-school children and youth aged 15 to 22 years. This age group have reported high rates of substance abuse and at risk of being in conflict with the law.

The South Sudan Red Cross (SSRC) designed and implemented an innovation in Kuajok, Gogrial West County, Warrap State, to break the prevailing barriers on Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) by conducting community engagement and engaging schoolgirls in the production and distribution of reusable pads,
contributing to changes in knowledge, attitude and interest within the community.
